She could not think straight...Her eyes went teary...
She rushed to their entrance door to find it locked...
She went and peeped in the washroom,but it was empty...
The lights went out suddenly and she screamed "ARNAVJI"...
And with her scream, everthing went numb...
her hearbeats got more clear...
the sound of the soft wind, blowing on her dupatta...
the light from the poolside, glowing the room...
she cluched her sides of her choli hand called calmly...
khushi-Arnavji...arn'nav'ji...
her voice getting lower with each passing moment...
she staying where she was standing, near her,oops,sorry their bed and now crushed the bedsheet with her hands...
khushi-(to herself) i know arnav ji knows that i fear the dark, why would he leave mein the dark and go...although i fully trust him, but am still confused why and where did he disappear suddenly...
She could sence someone in the room...
She was about to turn when she felt someone's breadth on her bare nape...
And she knew he it was him, her heart felt revealed that she was with her love now, or to say more properly, her love was with her now...
Before she could turn back to face him,
He slid his hands on her thin waist and his breadth kissing her nape giving her goosebumps on her body and making her close her eyes...
Her back leaning in her husband's chest...burring her form in him...
She kept her hands on his hands, which were holding her firmly, and she made the grip tighter, as if she was pleading him not to go awy any where now...
Khushi-aap kaha chale gaye thee,pata hai hum kitna darr gayee the...(where did u go arnavji, i was so scared...)
Arnav-sshhh...come with me...u will get to know where i went...
He took his hands away from her,which made her open her eyes,and he turned her to make her face him...he cupped her face and she asked...
Khushi-but arnavji...
Arnav-khushi just come...
He took her hands in his and made their way to the pool-side...
Their was the scene,which made khushi's eyes fill with tears...
The poolside was silent,with just the plants and the water in the pool...
The recliner was gone, the side table was gone...eveything was empty...
But there was something else...just after entering the poolside area,in the middle was a big golden bowl...a huge one...it was full with candles...burning candles...(now u can imagine this pot,like in the movie Jannat 2,in the song "rab ka shukrana" there is a pot in which burning candles are kept...now i wanted to describe that...am not that good in descriptions,plz adjust...)
Khushi-arnavji yeh sab kya hai...kyu hai...(arnavji what is all the, and why is all this..??)
Arnav-khushi,
i want to enjoy each moment of life with you...
i want to give you all the happiness to u...
i want to take all ur sorrows away...
i want to explore my life with u...
i want to be me with u...
i want to make love to u...
i want to have a bunch of children with u...
i want to grow old with u...
i want to share my life with u...but before that, i want to make u mine...
khushi-par hum toh aap he k hai...(but am all yours..)
arnav-i know dat...but all these rituals matter a lot to u, and u are who matters the most to me...and so, all this does matter to me too now...
khushi was blushing,but had happy tears in her eyes too...
arnav moved his hands in on her face and wiped her tears with his thumb...
his hard thumb on her skin was like a one hard metal poured on soft silk...
she opeded her eyes to find him holding her hand and gesturing her to move forward...
khushi-hame yakeen nahi ho raha hai, ke aap ahi arnavji hai...jo kabhi ASR thee...aap hamare liye yeh sab kar rahe hai!!
She said with a different glow in her eyes,content in her eyes...
Arnav-khushi,i want to fulfil our marriage,with all the rituals tonight...it may not be perfect,but-----
Khushi cut him with her words...
Khushi-as long as we are together,everything is perfect...
They both exchanged an understanding smile and arnav said...
Arnav-khushi, i know all this means a lot to u...and as we are taking a fresh start,why not perform the left over rituals as well...lets complete our pheras...our 7 pheras,which were left incomplete...
Khushi-accha,toh aap ne yeh sab(gestering towards the pot filled with lit candles..)
Arnav-ha khushi,mai hamari shadi puri karna chata hu...tumhe puri tarah se apni banana chahta hu...iss tarah,k ab hame koi juda na kar sake...
Khushi-arnavji----
Arnav-khushi,tumne mujhe pyar ka matlab samjaya hai...mai tumhare saath apni puri zindagi bitana chahta hu,zindagi ke har lamhe ko,iss lamhe ko,tumhare sath jina chahta hu...mujhe pata hai ke in sab chizo ke liye pandit(priest) ko bulana chahiye par---well,tumhe toh insab ke bare mei sab pata hai na,kya tum mujhe in saat phero ko matlab bataogi??
Khushi-jab tak aap hamare saath hai, hame kisi aur ki zarurath nahi hai...
He smiled back and they both started moving across the enlighted pot,which was full of candles,symbolising fire-God,the Agni-Devta...
And khushi started explain the meaning of the seven pheras to her husband...
As the name suggests, the ritual of pheras comprises of 7 pheras in all. Each phera has a distinct significance and meaning for the bride and the groomArnav was contented and was all ears for his wife...he really wanted to know the meaning of marriage with khushi...
Khushi started with the first round,and arnav followed her...
Khushi was in front,and arnav walked behind her,holding each other's hands...
Now the pheras and the vows started...
Khushi- As uttered in Sanskrit language "Dhanam dhanyam pade vadet"
I will wholeheartedly accept your judgment. I promise you that I will fulfill all the responsibilities of your family with utmost care and dedication. I will take care of your honor and remain abided by your love forever.
She smiled at him with jumping heart...and moved forward...
Arnav held her hand tight before she could move on for the second phera...
Arnav- As uttered in Sanskrit language "Om esha ekapadi bhava iti prathaman"
By performing the first phera lets promise to each other that our love shall become more intense with each passing day. We will help each other in every possible manner. You will cook food for me. I will bestow my love and affection upon you and shower my goodness during this journey of our married life. I will treat you kindly along with lots of love, so as to keep you happy and healthy.
Khushi's eyes widen and her mouth flew open in shock...
Khushi-arnav ji,aapko----kaise---pata 'hai ---ke----
The emotional heart inside khushi was trembling with joy as the first phera got over...
Arnav-(with his signature smirk)aage badhe??
Khushi again took the lead in the second phera and arnav looked at her, as he was waiting for more,for the ritual to get complete,with out any hindrance...
Khushi- "Kutumburn rakshayishyammi sa aravindharam"
I will always fill your heart with exuberant courage and strength. I pledge that I will utter only pleasant words. I shall be supporting you in protecting our family and children from evil powers. You shall love only me as your life partner.
She deeply blushed and arnav can notice her getting shy at this vow...Arnav again pulled her not letting her move forward...he looked into her eyes and she too rested her hands in his...
Arnav- "Om oorje jara dastayaha"
By performing the ritual of second phera let us promise to each other that we will stand by each other forever. You will be initiating my strength and courage along with me. Together, we shall defend our home and family from all types of odd things and evil power.
Khushi was blushing...he actually knows about the rituals...
She was lost in his eyes and her face showed her happiness...
Arnav-khushi,aage badhe??
Khushi came out of her ARSHI dreamland and continued with the 3rd phera,walking infront of arnav,and letting him follow her...
Khushi- "Tava bhakti as vadedvachacha"
I will love you for whole of my life. I will consider all other men as my brothers. My love and respect for you will never fade. By virtue of my love and devotion I will remain as a chaste wife.
Her cheeks turned deep red initially taking this vow,but tears rolled speaking the latter...arnav cupped her face and pecked her forehead...
She knew her husband would want to give his brief note on this mantra and phera too...she looked at him and he understood she was waiting for him to speak...
Arnav- "Om rayas Santu joradastayaha"
By performing the ritual of third phera, let us promise each other that we will remain spiritually abide by each other. I will look towards other woman only as my sisters. We shall grow and flourish together under the sacred and holy sanctity of God.
Khushi and arnav were both smiling inside after understanding the meaning of the words of the 3rd phera...but they dint show it out loud,as they both respected the rituals,and respected each other...they copmleted the 3rd phera with this...

Arnav-ab mai aage rahunga,yahi na...
Khushi was happy...
Khushi-ji arnav ji---par aapko yeh sab---
Arnav-baatein baadmei khushi...pehle tum meri ban jao...Mrs.Khushi Kumari Gupta Singh Raizada...
Khushi hit him play fully on his chest and he moved in front giving her a sweet smile...
Now arnav took the lead for their 4th phera...
Arnav- "Om mayo bhavyas jaradastaya ha"
By performing the ritual of fourth phera, let us promise each other that we will provide utmost aid to our elders and parents. You will bring fortune and sanctity in my life. May god bless us with an ecstatic life and healthy children...
Khushi was not able to meet his eyes and arnav understood why...
Arnav-khushi,in each of the previous phera, u took the vow first,and i followed u...ab iss phere mei,pehle maine promise kiya,now its ur turn,..
She blushed and he saw her with a naughty smirk...
Khushi- "Lalayami cha pade vadet."
I will decorate myself with jewelry, flowers and garlands just for you. Euphoria of my fragrance will be bestowed on only you. I will serve you and please you in every possible way.
They both knew this was the part of their rituals and they had to control their gutter minds...she looked away feeling shy and he thought of finishing the ritual first,whole night was still in his hands for teasing her,and doing much more...
He smirked and held khushi's hand tight in his,and moved for the 5th phera...
Arnav- "Om prajabhyaha Santu jaradastayaha"
Dear, we have walked four steps together. By taking this fifth steps with me, you have enriched my life. May you be blessed with every happiness. May our loved ones live long and happy life. Please come and share my duties for all charity acts. Come with me so we can enrich our family and get blessed with noble, righteous and brave children.
She was emotionally touched by the way Arnav kept out his feeling while taking this vow...she noded and kept her second hand in his hand too,and spoke in anticipation...
Khushi- "Arte arba sapade vadet"
I will be with you in all the circumstances. I will share your happiness and joy and I will also share your grieves. Your love will give me strength to trust and respect you. My utmost concern would be your wish fulfillment. I pledge to do all possible tasks to carry out your wishes.
Arnav gripped her hand tight and they both continued to the 6th phera...he took her hands near his heart and started circling the fire pot again...
Arnav- My Love, you have added immense happiness to my life, by taking six steps with me. My heart is filled with joy. I wish to have you always by my side. May you be with me forever and glut my life with pleasure and peace...
And saying this,he kissed her wrists...and her heart skipped a beat...she was not able to stop her happy tears tonight...and arnav too dint stop her from shedding those happy tears, as he knew they for for him,and for a change,not because he had given her any pain,but because,for the first time,may be he was doing the right with her...she felt so blessed to have Arnav as her husband..she could not thank her DM enough for this...
She still managed to speak...
Khushi- "Yajne home shashthe vacho vadet"
I assure you that I will always walk beside you. I promise you that I will happily participate with you in all your noble acts. I will stand with you to perform the jobs to enrich our mercenary prosperity and enjoyment. I will also extend my efforts for all your devotional duties...
Now she took her hand which was entangled with him,and placed a small open mouth wet kiss on his right hand...above it...and a small tear shed from his eyes this time..
She moved her finger to his rough cheeks and took away the pearl like tear droped on her index finger and kissed it...
Khushi-ab aakri phera...(now the last phera)...
Her lips curled in to a smile and he continued the last phera,but wait...
He picked khushi in his arms and completed the last phere...she panicked at first,but when she saw the look in arnva's eyes,and the firm grip she felt on her waist,she knew arnav would not leave her...she dint resist,but her hands rounded his neck automatically..her breath played strings on his nape...they both were very much habituated to this position...
Arnav- "Om sakhi jaradastayahga."
My beloved, we have performed seven pheras together and now we have a single identity. Henceforth we would be incomplete without each other. Our existence is entirely devoted to each other. I am completely yours and you are completely mine. Our bond has become perpetual. May we have an everlasting marriage.
Khushi- "Attramshe sakshino vadet pade."
With the pious of seven steps, I have been privileged to be your wife. I promise you to be always truthful. We will love each other forever. All the promises we have taken during this holy ritual, we will do all the possible to carry out the same with pure intentions. We pledge to be transparent with each other...
She huged him tight,still in his arms,and he held her agianst him...her small and soft body completely and perfectly fitting in his frame...she was feeling the most safe in his arms,and he,he felt like nothing more is needed in his life now...everything felt complete...
they were lost in each other now...in each other's embrace...
Now she was completely his...her soul was marked his for not only this birth,but for every next birth they take...same was for him...
No one was here,still, but
The moonlight and the stars from up above the sky were witnessing the their little rituals...and showering their blessing from up above the sky...
